But his non-ham friend nearby showed up angry at him, saying

"You were so rude! I heard you talking, but you never bothered to answer me!"

Friend had heard ham's voice coming out of a electric piano's speaker.

The friend was shouting back at the piano, expecting the ham to hear him.
