My jacket has started to develop holes in the back. The way I see it, I have two main patching options: either I can just patch the affected area or I can make a huge decorative patch for the whole back.

I'm leaning towards a large patch because that could be a fun visible mend, whereas just patching around the holes would either look awkward or I'd have to try some invisible mending, which is less fun and harder.

There are just so many possibilities with a big patch too.
