It seems when you search for traditional songs in #Welsh, you just find hymns. (There is also a variety of instrumental music for harp, etc.)
That's nice and all, but where's the music on topics that people definitely wouldn't sing about in Church? Is there a conspiracy to hide it from the English? Surely it has always existed.
It would be nice if https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_of_Wales#Traditional_folk_music listed some examples of the love songs it describes. It just cites The Welsh Academy Encyclopaedia of Wales. I don't have a copy of that on hand, but I doubt it gives specifics either.
