A stout and rather officious-looking hummingbird with a puffy olive body, lifted mohawk crest with a buffy streak through it, and a violent violet beard sits brooding on the bare stalks of a high altitude shrub. Behind is a skimpy ever green tree with the foggy gray sky shining through the leaves. Judging from the expression on his face, this birb will not be approving your paperwork. Buffy Helmetcrest. Los Nevados National Park, Colombia. Photo by Peachfront.

he reserves his sternest & most disapproving glares for the tourists who pop up on foggy sunday
