Eight pieces of aluminum strips placed into two rough rectangles on a beige deck.

Stage one of replacing the missing screens in our house is complete. The aluminum frames have been acquired, cut to size and filed.

Stage two will be painting them beige to match the other screens in the house (I'd have purchased beige aluminum, but the options were dark brown, white and plain). Then it's just going to be putting them together with their corner pieces and accessories and putting a screen in.

The aluminum frame pieces are painted and one screen is in! I will probably give the other frame another coat of paint and give it a bit longer to dry because the paint on the first one scratched a bit during screen installation and I'd also missed a few spots that were more obvious than I'd hoped. I touched up the paint on the screen I installed, but fixing the paint properly beforehand would be easier.
